I want to Tango with you, George Clooney!
He always has that prankster gleam in his eye, doesn’t he? But he is oh-so-easy to forgive. We heart George Clooney! He isn’t at it again, though, since this story is about something he’s quite serious about.

George Clooney is a big fan of small (I’d rather say TINY) electric car, the Tango.
It’s smaller than a Mini-Cooper, smaller than the Smart Car, and its FAST. How fast, you ask? It goes from 0-60 mph in right under 5 seconds, with a top speed of 150 mph (or, in the Philippines, 241 kph). But will it get you very far? Well, its range is pretty good as a full charge can go for 80 miles, or 129 kilometers. That’s like a roundtrip from Alabang to Makati TWICE. What’s even better is that it carries an emission-free battery that you can charge within 3 hours. In our small streets, parking this baby won’t be a problem at all, given its petite size and width.

All across the globe, gas prices are soaring (over here in the Bay Area, its about $4 a gallon, and rising). Imagine the savings you get if you never have to think of gas for your car ever again!

While the Tango may not be a viable option for most of us at the moment, it’s always good to cut down on driving tips. Carpooling is always economical, and if you can, walk or bike to wherever it is you need to go. Schedule road trips in the evening where there is less traffic and a cooler breeze, which means less use of the A/C.
